Build Your Own 3D Printer — Grades 7+

(grades 7 & up)

Build Your Own 3D Printer is a hands-on three-day camp where students assemble their own 3D printer and learn how modern additive manufacturing actually works. From calibration to beginner CAD design, campers will go through the full process of building, operating, and creating with their printer. Students will leave with a real understanding of how 3D printing works and the confidence to keep creating at home. The best part? Every student takes their 3D printer home at the end of camp!


Students will:


• Assemble and calibrate a functioning 3D printer

• Learn how to prepare and send files to a printer

• Create and modify simple designs using beginner CAD tools

• Understand the fundamentals of 3D printing and additive manufacturing

• Keep the 3D printer they build
