FIRST LEGO League

During the 2026-2027 FIRST season, FIRST CANOPY™, teams will use their STEM and collaboration skills to explore the rich web of life that powers our planet — from ecosystems and biodiversity to the connections that keep our world thriving. Along the way, we'll uncover the potential in each of us to strengthen our community and innovate for a better world. In grades 5-8, you will pursue the FIRST LEGO League BIOGLOW™ Challenge. Join us to see what we shall uncover.

Imagine a world where you can bring your wildest ideas to life, build amazing robots with LEGOs, and compete in thrilling missions with friends — welcome to the FIRST LEGO Robotics Challenge! This incredible program combines creativity, teamwork, and cutting-edge technology, allowing you to design, build, and program robots to solve real-world problems. You'll learn new skills, make lasting friendships, and have loads of fun along the way. Dive into the adventure and discover just how cool and exciting the world of robotics can be!

Eligibility: Any Maine student in grades 5-8 with previous LEGO experience may join a LEGO League Challenge team.
When: Saturdays 9:30AM–11:30AM (September through December); Select Saturdays (January through February for State Championship Prep.)
Where: Maine Mall #66 (Outside entrance to the left of Round One Bowling & Mall's food court entrance)

What's included: Custom team t-shirts, weekly snacks, all LEGO components, special event invitations, and directly mentored instruction in teams of 4-6 students.
