Combat Robotics

Do you love robots? Are you interested in learning to build a robot that can compete against another robot? During this week-long session students in grades 8 - 12 will learn the basics of combat robotics. Students will learn details about what combat robotics involves and learn how to use some tools needed to build a robot. Each day a little more will be learned and more work will be done on the kits provided for each student. 

The kit will become the combat robot which includes learning the ins and outs of the electronics within the structural exterior of the robot. Students will practice driving and operating the weapon mechanism on the robots. At the end of the week, the students will participate in using their robots to compete with each other in a tournament style. 

This exciting hands-on introduction is a great way to learn to use tools properly and see the process of creating a combat robot as students work step by step to build their robot. No experience with combat robotics is necessary to attend. Come ready to learn about and build a beginner combat robot!
