LEGO Engineers (Sept-Oct)

grades 5-8

This project-based program develops core robotics skills with LEGO SPIKE Prime — without the pressure of competition. Students build reliable drivetrains, add simple mechanisms, and use sensors to complete creative challenges.

Through interactive lessons and hands-on activities, students will:
- Achieve straight, repeatable, controlled driving and turns
- Use color and distance sensors for line-edge parking, approach/stop, and square-ups
- Build and swap simple attachments to move and carry objects
- Plan short multi-challenge routes and debug them into consistent runs

Grounded in FIRST LEGO League-style iteration and documentation habits, this program builds confidence through visible, testable progress — all in a supportive, team-based environment.
