STEM Coliseum Summer 2025 Professional Development Workshop
Presented by the Northeastern University's Roux Institute: Empowering K-12 Educators with Augmented Reality & 3D Modeling
Two sessions of this three (3) day workshop at the STEM Coliseum and Learning Center is being delivered by Northeastern University's Roux Institute on June 24-26 or August 12-14. To receive 45 contact hours, participants will experience 18 in-person hours and 27 hours of out-of-class work.
Workshop Highlights
Experience Augmented Reality (AR):
- Teachers will engage with our current AR modules and have an opportunity to plan and accommodate a classroom visit from the Roux Institute during the school year to bring 3D modeling and AR science offerings into your classroom.
Integrate 3D Modeling:
- Discover how to incorporate 3D modeling programs and related tools into your curriculum.
Master AR in the Classroom:
- Learn best practices for using AR technology and effectively delivering interactive content to students.
A hands-on professional development workshop for K-12 teachers, with a focus on
upper middle and high school educators.
Learning Objectives
- Direct experience with AR modules for classroom integration
- Practical strategies for using modeling resources
- Step-by-step planning for future classroom visits and technology adoption
