Intro to Engineering Program
This two week program engages emerging 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students in the exploration of the engineering and design process while introducing them to a variety of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Next Session: Summer, 2 Weeks, July 29 To August 9 (9:00AM to 4:00PM)
Cost: $250/week (need-based scholarships available)
Explore the engineering fields while preparing to compete in an exciting robot competition at the end of two weeks. Develop your competence and self-confidence as a beginning design engineer and use 3-D printing, machining, electronics, electrical wiring, and programming controls to make your ultimate competitor bot.
This course, taught by 23-year veteran engineering mentor John Kraljic, emphasizes the creative design process, the application of physical laws, and fundamentals of basic machines. As is the tradition, the class will end in a final robot competition, in which students compete against each other to see whose robot can win the most total points
