Safety Best Practices

This essential safety training is designed for all members and visitors of the STEM Coliseum to ensure a safe and productive environment. Participants will learn the fundamental safety protocols required for the use of our facilities, including the machine shop, electronics lab, FAB and VR labs, 3D printing areas, core hand tools, and benchtop machinery. 

The course covers proper equipment handling, personal protective gear, emergency procedures, fire safety, and facility-specific guidelines to mitigate risks and prevent accidents. Additionally, the training will address safety practices for using our playing field, ensuring safe operation during group projects and hands-on activities. 

Completion of this training will serve as a prerequisite for all machine-specific orientation and training programs offered at the STEM Coliseum. By entering or working at the Coliseum facility, you agree to abide by the following general and specific behavioral expectations as defined in this course.
